Drouin Bowling Club had a clean sweep in WGBD on Saturday with all teams recording a win.

Division one: Drouin 18/90 defeated Newborough 2/88.

Steve Barr, Sheryl Atkinson, Toby Wallace and Mark Atkinson defeated G. Lambos’ team 21/20. Ron Brodie, Andy Kidd, John Leighton and Gary Johnson defeated K. Lovett’s team 31/20. Samantha Atkinson, Les Firth, Dennis Throup and Matthew Schreyer lost to P. Shearman’s team 18/29. David McIlfatric­k, Matthew Long, Glen Lockett and Adam Proctor defeated Alan Grubb’s team 20/19.

Division three: Drouin defeated Yinnar 4/92. (2) 16/99

Bob Cole, Pauline Appleyard, Col Jeffrey and Col Finger lost to Tom Short’s team 26/27. Jan Aubrey, Matthew Eccles, Ian McCartney and Tim Anderson defeated Tim Roche’s team 27/17. Laurie Innes, Graham Aubrey, Maureen Leighton and Arthur Moore lost to Murray De Lahaye’s team 23/26. Don Mowat, Chris Brownlee, Phil Jarred and David Tayles defeated Wayne Harris’ team 23/22.

Division four: Drouin (3) 18/105 defeated Newborough (3) 2/72.

Clive Newman, Mary Firth, Peter Hone and Neil Stoney drew with Michael Holroyd’s team 25/25. Margaret Rhodes, Mary Schofield, Lloyd Smith and Barrie Price defeated Darryl Williams’ team 31/8. The 23-shot win gave the team an overall best rink. Mal Anderson, Richard Joiner, Terry McFadzean and Brian Thorpe lost to C. Cadby’s team 18/26. Elaine Thorpe, Merv Appleyard, Ray Watson and Neil Bullen defeated G. Crowley’s team 31/13.

Division six: Drouin (4) defeated Warragul (4) on forfeit.

Drouin received the win and now sit top of the ladder.

The club held its men’s singles championsh­ip and men’s novice on Sunday at Drouin.

At 11am, the men removed their heats and observed a minute silence for Remembranc­e Day.
