Rovers sup­port peers

Rover Scout youth mem­bers from the New­bor­ough based Cap­staff Rover Crew found an un­usual way to sup­port their peers through re­cent ex­ams.

The mem­bers made spe­cial care pack­ages to help VCE stu­dents through their ex­ams. The Rover Scouts are aged from 18 to 26 The care pack­ages fea­tured home made treats in­clud­ing rum balls as study snacks, tools for study such as high­lighters and mo­ti­va­tional mes­sages, the kits were made over three weeks and dis­trib­uted to Ven­turer Scouts in year 12 from Trar­al­gon, Mor­well, Churchill, Yi­nar, Trafal­gar, New­bor­ough and War­ragul.

The small ges­ture was made by the Rovers to sup­port their younger peers re­mem­ber­ing what the exam pe­riod was like from the end of their own ed­u­ca­tional jour­ney.
