School cricket resched­uled

Rain wreaked havic with school cricket at Yar­ragon last Thurs­day, with the School Sport Vic­to­ria state quar­ter fi­nal resched­uled.

Some play had been pos­si­ble on Thurs­day morn­ing be­fore the rain in­ter­vened, forc­ing matches to be resched­uled to Mon­day.

With Yar­ragon still too wet for play, matches were moved to Marist Sion with both year seven and eight teams play­ing 15 overs per side.

The year sev­ens took to the field first, with Mack­in­non bat­ting first and scor­ing a com­pet­i­tive to­tal of 5/83.

Jack Lo­gan and Luke Gar­ner both re­turned 1/10 from three overs to be the picks.

Marist-Sion Col­lege lost early wick­ets, be­ing 2/5 off two overs, and never re­ally re­cov­ered. They fin­ished at 6/60. Luke Gar­ner 21 off 15 balls and Jack Lo­gan not out 13 were also the best of the bats.

Re­sults for the year eight match against Koo wee rup were not avail­able at time of go­ing to print.
