Youth remanded for armed robbery
A youth has been remanded in custody to appear at Children’s Court in relation to a number of offences including an armed robbery in Warragul last month.
The 16-year-old Morwell youth was arrested following a joint operation by Baw Baw and Latrobe CIU detectives.
He was charged with armed robbery, burglary offences and theft of a car that occurred between Warragul and Traralgon over recent weeks.
Police allege the armed robbery occurred in Normanby St, Warragul on November 16. A man, who went to get his wallet from his car, was robbed at knife point during the early hours of the morning.
A second offender allegedly involved in the armed robbery also was charged. The 22-yearold Moe man was arrested after police raided his Moe house on November 21.
Police seized a small quantity of drugs and charged the man with theft of a car and armed robbery.
