Upper House not confirmed

A re-count in the upper house Eastern Victorian Region is expected to be finalised today.

Mr Robinson said the VEC hoped the recount would be completed today and results would be known tomorrow.

Five upper house members will be elected to the region. Counting so far indicates elected candidates will be: Edward O’Donohue (Liberal); Jane Garrett (ALP), Melina Bath (The Nationals); Harriet Shing (ALP); and, Jeffrey Bournman (Shooters, Fishers and Farmers).

Ms Shing was last week named in the Andrew’s government’s new team as parliamentary secretary for mental health.
