A photograph of The Commercial Bank in Victoria St, Warragul c.1902.

The Commercial Bank established an agency in Warragul in 1878. It was positioned near the Railway Hotel in Queen St.

Early in the 1880s, a block was secured in Victoria St and the bank erected this wooden building on it.

After a decision to replace it with a brick building, this original wooden building was moved to the corner of Lillico Rd and Brandy Creek Rd.

There have been two more building on the Victoria St site before the current Westpac Bank was built.
