Funds for 17 groups

A number of organisations recently received sponsorship from Neerim District Community Bank.

The organisations involved include Buln Buln, Jindivick and Neerim District Cricket Clubs, Buln Buln and Neerim District Tennis Clubs, Buln Buln, Neerim District and Warragul Blues Junior Football Clubs, Buln Buln, Neerim South, Nilma Darnum and Warragul Industrials Football Clubs, Neerim District Junior Basketball Club, Neerim District Pony Club, Neerim District Senior Club, Neerim South Recreation Reserve and Hemophilia Foundation Victoria

Representatives spoke about what the partnership means to their club.

In addition Darcy Smith was awarded the Craig Watts Award for the Drouids Hockey Club as an up and coming young player.

The award is sponsored by the bank and honours the late Craig Watts, who when stationed at the Neerim South Police station was very encouraging to the district’s youth.

Since its inception in 2000, the Neerim District Community Bank Branch has returned $2.74 million back to the community in the form of grants, scholarships, sponsorships and donations.
