Warriors win despite onslaught

Bunyip unbeatable

Jindivick 9/131 def by Bunyip 7/131 Bunyip seem unbeatable at the moment in the third division as fade-outs in both innings weren’t enough to stop them securing win number five for the year.

Bowling first, Davis McConnell (3-22), James McKellar (2-18) and Stacy Best (2-16) were simply too good for the Jindivick batting lineup, reducing them to 9-69 as the game seemed over.

However Andrew Pyle wasn’t a fan of this as he struck a brisk 44 not out from number 11 to give his side hope. Chasing 131, the Bulls seemed home at 2-89. However Jarratt Eastburn (4-6) caused a mighty collapse which almost won the Jumping Jacks the game.

Only a terrific 57 from Austin ‘Aussie’ Jones was able to get the Bulls over the line, reaching the target seven wickets down in the 29th over.

Wyatt stuns on return

Drouin 5/158 def Garfield-Tynong 7/111 Tommy Wyatt’s return to cricket was a welcome one for Drouin, as his 53 not out was good enough to give the Hawks victory.

After Drouin slipped to 3-57, Wyatt and Jack Jarred (35) pushed the score to 101 before Wyatt’s hitting gave Drouin a defendable total of 158.

Jack Tenace-Greenall (3-22) was the pick of the bowlers for the Titans, however they had very few contributors with the bat as they limped to 7-111 off their overs.

Gavin Mills (2-16) and Josh Maric (2-17) proved too hard to get away for the GarfieldTynong batsmen as they lost by 47 runs.
