Yarragon man charged

An 18-year-old Yarragon man was charged with theft, evading police and other offences after he was intercepted by police in Trafalgar last week.

Police said the man was driving a Ford Fiesta and was refused fuel at the Yarragon United service station at 3.40pm because his vehicle had no registration plates.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle because of alleged dangerous driving.

The man was later arrested and charged with a series of offences including evading police, theft, theft from a car and driving an unregistered car.

The man was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
