Yarragon man charged

An 18-year-old Yarragon man was charged with theft, evad­ing po­lice and other of­fences af­ter he was in­ter­cepted by po­lice in Trafal­gar last week.

Po­lice said the man was driv­ing a Ford Fi­esta and was re­fused fuel at the Yarragon United ser­vice sta­tion at 3.40pm be­cause his ve­hi­cle had no reg­is­tra­tion plates.

Po­lice at­tempted to in­ter­cept the ve­hi­cle be­cause of al­leged dan­ger­ous driv­ing.

The man was later ar­rested and charged with a se­ries of of­fences in­clud­ing evad­ing po­lice, theft, theft from a car and driv­ing an un­reg­is­tered car.

The man was bailed to ap­pear at Latrobe Val­ley Mag­is­trates’ Court at a later date.
