Longwarry (194) vs. Drouin (2-36): Sam Pullen delivered another classy performanc­e at the weekend to lead the way for Longwarry with the bat.

And two late scalps to Zac Wright helped to put Drouin on the back-foot at stumps, the Hawks sitting at 2-36 in pursuit of 194.

Pullen’s aggressive approach saw him dominate the run-scoring for the Crows, making 77 out of 98 runs while he was at the crease, and it took a stunning delivery from Dylan Serong to remove him.

Eckhardt chimed in with 34 runs to push the total up to 194 before Longwarry were dismissed – with the wickets shared amongst all six Drouin bowlers.

In reply, Bailey Osseweyer struck 21 opening up, but he was removed along with Logan Starc (who made just one) late in the day – both batsmen caught by Pullen off the bowling of Wright.

Hallora outclassed

Hallora (92) vs. Western Park (1-43): On a green-tinged wicket conducive to seam bowling, Hallora found themselves outclassed by a discipline­d Western Park bowling attack at the weekend, with the Warriors requiring just 50 runs to win following their dominant display.

Sam McMillan and Angus Geals set the tone for the day with a tight new-ball spell – the ball moving around and testing the batsmen’s abilities.

Dave Burn (2-11 from 10) and Jason Batson (1-13 off eight) maintained the pressure and none of the Halloran top and middle order could find a way to counter-attack.

Kyle Baker (3-20 from 6.1) enjoyed his first foray into division two, wrapping up the innings for just 92.

Facing a small target, Dale Fawcett (a 30-ball unbeaten 25) quickly settled at the crease and attacked the new-ball, and he carried the
