Chorale to celebrate Christmas

-

With both children and adults now starting to count the “sleeps” until Christmas for very different reasons, it’s time to think about re-visiting Christmas traditions or establishing new rituals.

Attending the West Gippsland Chorale’s annual Christmas Concerts is a valued tradition for many Baw Baw residents.

Newcomers to the area and new visitors are invited to join the Chorale for the musical celebration titled “Sing Nowell” on Friday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.

Both concerts will be held at Wesley of Warragul.

The concert repertoire will, as always, include well known carols and songs as well as the occasional opportunities for audience members to join in the singing.

Some old favourites will be presented in a reinterpretation or a different arrangement.

Choir director Simon Loveless and accompanist Lisa Fraser, together with the choir members, will work together in celebrating a highachieving year of musical learning and performance, and in wishing their loyal audience and supporters a Merry Christmas.

Wesley of Warragul is an atmospheric location for any musical performance, but it is particularly suited to the themes of Christmas time.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for concession and free for school children.
