Garfield-Tynong remain at the top of the table after winning their clash against second placed Western Park, while Neerim District have catapulted into third place after consecutiv­e wins in the last two rounds.

Drouin sit in fourth place ahead of Yarragon on percentage.

Division five get an extra week off and will resume on January 19.

Zinnow leads Jindivick

Jindivick 3/129 def Yarragon 8/126 (cc) A timely 47 not out from Ash Zinnow has helped Jindivick to victory over Yarragon.

Chasing a challengin­g target, the Jumping Jacks lost an early wicket before a handy partnershi­p from Jeff McBride (37) and Dean Swinburne (12) steadied ship.

Dave Wagner (14*) and Zinnow then combined to add 69 for the fourth wicket, leading the visitors to victory with one over to spare.

Earlier in the day the Panthers struggled against the new ball, losing wickets at regular intervals.

Carlo Ierfone bucked the trend with a boundary laden 40 (six fours and one six) while Ben Fleming lifted the run-rate with a rapid 28. Liam Smith-Butterwort­h anchored the innings with a solid 28.

McBride was the pick of the bowlers snaring 3/14 off four overs. Sam Christie chimed in with 2/17 off six.

Two on the trot

Neerim District 10/124 def Buln Buln 9/105 Neerim District had little trouble in accounting for Buln Buln, making it two wins in a row for the Stags.

Sent in by the visitors, Neerim struggled through their innings with only two batsmen reaching double figures.
