Book-in for breakfast

Bookings will close soon for Drouin’s 40th Australia Day Breakfast to be at the Anglican Parish Hall in Princes Way on Saturday, January 26 at 7.30am.

This is a free event, but bookings are essential.

The breakfast is conducted by the Drouin Rotary Club on behalf of Baw Baw Shire Council, with catering provided by the Drouin Branch of the Country Women’s Associatio­n (CWA).

This year’s guest speaker will be editor of award-winning Warragul and Drouin Gazette Carolyn Turner. Her topic will be “Our diverse community in a diverse world”.

Entertainm­ent at the breakfast will be provided by the Warragul Brass Ensemble, under the leadership of bandmaster Benjamin Sim, and local vocalist Margaret Schelleken­s.

Bookings close on Monday January 21, unless previously fully booked. Seats at the breakfast may be reserved by calling 5624 2411 or visiting the shire’s Drouin Civic Centre.
