Anita looks back

-

Warragul artist Anita George is currently holding a retrospective exhibition at Red Tree Gallery in Jindivick.

A calligrapher, Anita incorporates her calligraphy into art, or perhaps art into her calligraphy.

Open throughout most of January, the show is titled “Looking Back” and it promises to be a fascinating journey. It features an interesting and diverse collection of work.

“This exhibition is more than looking back at previous artworks,” said Anita. “It's also about looking back at what was once.”

“I work from my inside, expressing emotions relevant to that moment. I have previously raged at the business of Christmas, celebrated a feast of berries, mourned our Anzac men and smiled at love,” she added.

Anita is Baw Baw Arts Association president and has been a participant of the Open Studios West Gippsland over many years.

“Looking Back” is open daily from 9am to 5pm at Laurie Collins’ Red Tree Gallery at 420 Main Jindivick Road, Jindivick.
