Triathlon season resumes

-

The start of 2019 saw many Wild Dog Triathlon Club members back on Saturday afternoon to battle it out over the varied swim, ride and run events.

It was a great turn out for the senior events, with life time club member Rob Zierlein taking out the long event (1.04.09), settling a challenging time going into a new year. His lead was closely followed by a strong battle between Mitch Diston (1.05.20) and Chris Roberts (1.05.35) who both set an impressive pace in the run leg.

Mark Ferguson took out the short event and Richard Adams led the fun event. Thanks to the technical skills of club member Adrian Clement, the WDTC timing system is back up and running, improving the smooth flow of the senior events.

Retrospective of it being school holidays the WDTC junior events still had a good turn out. The juniors six laps was won by Tahlia Langelaan (27.23). Andrew Thompson (25.46) took out first in the five laps, Jacob Langelaan (20.47) in the four laps and Troy Oswald (17.34)in three laps.

Oscar Williams (15.56) took out first in two laps and Harper McNair (15.56) crossed the line first in the juniors one lap.

All race times for junior and senior events are published on the website www.wilddogtriclub.org.au.
