Yarragon 116 def by Western Park 7/184cc An all-round performanc­e from Western Park continued their winning ways over Yarragon.

Batting first, contributi­ons from Stephen Briggs (32), Travis Maher (30), Adrian Parker (26) and Daniel Hilton (25) helped the Warriors to an imposing 7-184, despite the best efforts of John Allsop (2-18).

In reply, the Panthers were off the pace despite a terrific knock from Paul Harvey (55).

Yarragon fell 68 runs short as Josh Baker (423) showed his improvemen­t, while Stephen Briggs (2-16) and Travis Maher (2-26) contribute­d to the win.

Darcy sees Stags home

Buln Buln 9/167cc def by Neerim District 3/172 An outstandin­g performanc­e from Warren Darcy has catapulted Neerim District to victory over Buln Buln.

Bowling first, Darcy (5-32) and Ben Lockett (3-27) were at their best in stilting the Lyrebird innings on more than one occasion, taking key wickets at vital times.

Dean Hendrikse (33), Jarryd Kilday (32) and James Davidson (28) were able to push the score to a defendable 9-167, as the runs were evenly spread throughout the innings.

In reply, Darcy and the Stags did the job comfortabl­y.

Darcy wound back the clock with a rapid 94 not out, while Dave Ferguson (26*) ably supported him.

Despite James Davidson’s two wickets, Neerim got home with 13 overs to spare
