Two nights of carnival fun

-

Those who love the carnival atmosphere of a show will have two nights to enjoy a great line up of rides and entertainment at this year’s Warragul Show.

The popular show eve carnival will return on Friday night, while Saturday’s show program will continue well into the evening, concluding with a fireworks display at 9.30pm.

Show organisers decided to expand the program this year and offer patrons two nights of carnival fun.

In the past two years, show organisers decided to trial a Saturday night carnival program but this year have decided to offer the community two nights of entertainment.

The exciting rockabilly trio The Infernos will entertain patrons who want to hit the dance floor at the show on Friday night from 7pm.

The Infernos repertoire includes a range of original songs and rare covers performed with a modern day energy and fiery attitude.

International crooner Jefferson Smith, who has been dubbed “the voice” will be the major feature of Saturday night’s entertainment line-up.

After many years of honing his craft Jefferson has carved out a full time career performing songs of the Great American song book. It has led him to be able to meet his idols and have discussions about music and performing with the likes of Paul Anka, Kris Kristopherson and even serenading Chris Isaak.

Sheaf tossing will return to the Friday night program from 5.30pm.

The Saturday night program also includes the popular dog high jump competition. Entries will be taken on the night from 5.30pm.

has become a popular feature of the carnival program.

This has proven to be a great spectacle for patrons in past years, with crowds of people gathering to watch the skill and talents of dogs entered in this competition.

If you have a dog that loves to jump then organisers of this year’s competition want to see you at the show on Saturday night.

The popular fireworks display will be staged at 9.30pm.

While teenagers tend to take centre stage for activities at the carnival, show organisers are keen to promote the night as a family friendly environment with lots of attractions for all ages.

Organisers said the program was very much focused on providing a fun night out for everyone, no matter what age.
