Music, mayhem and mess

-

Australia’s top Christian kids’ artist Colin Buchanan will perform two concerts at Chairo Christian School this month.

The concerts will be held in The Balfour on Tuesday, June 25 at 6pm and Wednesday, June 26 at 5.30pm.

The Balfour is an impressive 400-seat theatre within the school’s new $6 million performing arts and cultural centre on Balfour Road, Drouin.

Colin’s live concert has become a fixture in family calendars across Australia for many years. These shows come full of the usual music, mayhem and mess.

The audience can sing along to favourite “Colin songs” and be part of a unique show that will have the whole family – young, not-soyoung and even older – singing and laughing along.

Since “I Want My Mummy”, his first kids’ album in 1993, and his first Christian album titled “Remember the Lord” in 1996, Colin’s Christian music for children has become a worldwide phenomenon.

His shows still sell-out, have crossed a generation and he is Australia’s most successful solo Christian artist.

Colin Buchanan is also an ARIA, APRA and nine-times Golden Guitar winning singer/songwriter, whose diverse career has included being a beloved ABC TV Play School presenter and a sought-after hit song collaborator.

In 1994, Lee Kernaghan invited Colin to cowrite a song with him about a ute. Since then, he has collaborated with Lee on each of his albums, including “Spirit of the Anzacs”.

“My co-writing with the likes of Lee Kernaghan and Troy Cassar-Daley has been a massive part of my career over the past 20 years,” explained Colin.

Tickets for the Colin Buchanan concerts in Drouin are $15 for general aged 13 years and over and $10 for children 12 years and under. Babies under 12 months are admitted free.
