Thorpdale Primary School is committed to educational excellence and providing children with the opportunity to learn to the best of their ability.

Our key values of Respect, Learning, Honesty, Fairness and Community play an integral role in all students’ education.

Building self esteem and respect for others, the development of initiative and a desire to achieve one’s best are qualities that the school strives to develop in students through:

Dedicated, committed and experienced staff who work as a team towards the same goals in student behaviour and student achievement.

Small class sizes that enable teachers to provide more individual attention to students in the classroom and greater flexibility in meeting individual needs.

A diversity of programs that emphasise the development of students’ self-esteem and encourages parent and community involvement.

Thorpdale Primary School is only a short 10 minute drive from both Mirboo North and Trafalgar and offers a favourable alternative setting from that offered at larger schools.

We have a caring family-like atmosphere with all our teachers having a sound understanding of all our students as they teach across all grades.

We currently have three classrooms, our largest class having 21 students.

We have a large multi purpose hall, a science and art wing, a computer lab and a very wellresourced library.

We have specialist science, STEM and art teachers and are extremely well resourced in these areas.

This includes four 3D printers and a large array of robotic equipment and appliances.

Smartboards, laptops and iPads are utilised in all classrooms.

We also offer an after-school sports program that runs on various nights throughout most of the year.
