YARRAGON OVAL

-

Work on the new Yarragon Recreation Reserve has “gone about as far as it can before winter”.

Dowton Park Reserve Committee vice president Mr W. Trickey said that all work on the reserve had ceased for the present time.

The general outline of the new reserve is taking shape. The playing area has been formed and levelled, but is yet to be sown.

The land, costing $5000, has been paid for and the reserve committee hopes to see the area in use next year.

Proposals for the building not only include facilities for the Yarragon football and cricket clubs, but also for men’s basketball.
