Drugs found in car

A 36-year-old Longwarry man was arrested and charged with drug offences after police intercepted and searched his vehicle last week.

The four-wheel drive vehicle was intercepted at 9.45pm on Tuesday in Ormond Rd, Longwarry.

The vehicle was searched and methamphetamine (ice) was located in the centre console and driver’s door. Police also located cash in a snap lock bag in the centre console and a set of digital scales were concealed under the centre console.

Two rounds of shotgun ammunition were located in the bottom of the driver’s door.

The man was arrested and charged. He was bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley magistrates’ Court at a later date.
