Business birthday good news for Warragul farmers
DW Rural celebrates its first birthday in Warragul next month.
As part of the festivities, its merchandise manager, Dennis Rankin, has announced a storewide sale throughout March for the Australian family-owned business.
It will also include a calf rearing information day, featuring calf-rearing specialist Cindy Lucas (Daviesway) in-store on Thursday, March 4 – from 10.30am.
Cindy joined Daviesway late in 2020, bringing with her extensive experience rearing upwards of 500 calves from several different dairy operations every year.
Her seminar will focus on the proven growth and health advantages of reducing stress in the calf shed – in addition to the expansive calf-rearing range and new products now available at DW Rural.
“There are some meaningful products, which have been added to our range within the last 12 months,” Cindy says.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone, and sharing the results of the significant forwardmotion within this space.”
Dennis – who has more than 40 years’ experience in rural merchandise – says the first year instore has been “tremendous”, on so many levels.
DW Rural now stocks a full rural merchandise range, in addition to its specialist focus on dairy and calf rearing.
Linking with the AIRR group [Australian Independent Rural Retailers] and including a free on-farm delivery service has introduced quantifiable advantages for its customers.
