Division 4 Jindivick 248 vs Western Park 0/32

Jindivick has posted a defendable total in its final round clash against Western Park.

Choosing to bat first the Jumping Jacks made a steady start despite losing wickets at regular intervals. Starts from Mick Tumino (34) and Kyan Boadle (36) set a solid foundation helping the home side reach 4/122.

Matt Ward took on the bulk of the scoring as the Warriors continued to whittle away at the batting line-up.

With two half-centuries under his belt Ward looked set to convert to triple figures, peppering the boundary before eventually falling for 77. Connor Fleming (2/26) claimed the big scalp of Ward while Pat Brooks did the early work snaring 2/44. Josh Baker chimed in with 2/46. Left with 15 overs the visitors made a watchful start to end the day at 0/32.

Raman Gautam (22 n.o.) and Daniel Hilton (10 n.o.) will resume proceedings on day two.

Drouin 197 vs Longwarry 2/24

Longwarry has kept Drouin to a below par score in their encounter at Bellbird Park No.2. Sent in by the visitors the Hawks struggled against the new ball as Jesse La Frantz claimed the first three wickets. Ajay Bajwa (27) offered some much-needed resistance along with Sam Barwick who top scored with 28.

A couple of handy twenties from the tail kept the Crows in the field late into the afternoon before they finally broke through to have the home side all-out in the 59th over.

In reply, Longwarry were put on the back foot as Harrison Radcliffe and Cameron Caddy each snared an early wicket.
