- Thirds Lang Lang vs Buln Buln

Buln Buln has made light work of Lang Lang in the thirds competitio­n, defeating the Tigers 9.18.72 to 2.3.15 in the thirds.

The nine goals came from individual goal kickers, showing the spread of attacking players for the Lyrebirds, with Brody Tutton leading the way in a best on ground performanc­e. Matthew Clynes kicked a goal and featured in the best for Buln, as did Dougall Wright, Angus Mulconry and Riley Armstrong.

For the Tigers, Sam Willemsen kicked a major, with Travis Short, Hunter Clarke and Brayden Brzezowski featuring prevalentl­y. Longwarry vs Poowong

Longwarry has put the foot down after quarter time to defeat the Magpies 13.21.99 to 4.3.27.

Led by Angus Adamiak and Harrison Stephens, who both booted four goals, the Crows were never really challenged after the first break, running away big winners.

Stephens and Adamiak were the two best, joined by Sam Blake, Josh Maric and Seth Ashton who pushed the side to victory.

Poowong’s Xavier Spaull kicked a couple, with Zac Gray, Mitch Rowe and Reide Macqueen featuring heavily.

Neerim Neerim South vs Trafalgar

Neerim Neerim South have dealt a heavy loss to Trafalgar away from home, winning 21.15.141 to 4.7.31.

It was Luke Kinder and Matthew Pecoraro who led the side with four majors each and best on ground displays, with Aiden Kenny (three goals), Tyler Irving (three goals) and Nicolas James (two goals) all dangerous in front of the big sticks.

For Trafalgar Dylan Gauci, Dylan Thornby and Jacob Angus all kicked goals, with Hardy Kenny, Drew O’Brien, Owen Zimora and Riley White named in the best for the Bloods who will hope to bounce back on Saturday.

Fourths

Longwarry were victorious over Yarragon by 37 points, Charlie Dore (three goals) and Cooper Brown (two goals) leading the side in the match.

Catani have claimed a big victory over Poowong by 77 points, with Lachlan Bonner dominating the contest from start to finish in a best on ground game, finishing with six goals to power his side onto the winners list.

Ryan Mostert and Robbie Warriner were the goal kickers for Poowong in the loss, with Jordyn Marrow the best for Poowong.

Tom Young’s best on ground effort led his Neerim Neerim South side to victory over Buln Buln 13.18.96 to 0.0.1.

Jarrod Meggetto kicked four, while Chad Owen and Jack Hamilton both kicked two in the victory. Connor James and Jaran Guy were brilliant for Buln in the loss, as were Will Battley, Daniel Axford and Luke Armstrong.
