Ellinbank boot 39 goals in win
Ellinbank vs Catani
It was an out and out rout at Ellinbank on Saturday afternoon in the reserves, as the Eagles posted a monstrous 39.22 (256) to 0.0 (0) victory over the Blues.
With some injury troubles in the seniors, the depleted reserves side of Catani were no match for the slick Ellinbank outfit, who had 10 goals on the board by quarter time. The procession only continued from there, as Ben Drew (nine goals), James Scammell (seven goals) Tony Wright (six goals) and Brad Berry (six goals) were unstoppable.
Nick Roberts chipped in four goals, while Chris Hartmann and Sam Barwick were able to manage a couple in the dominant win. Brad Berry was best on ground with his six majors, in a dominant display disposal and goal wise. Ash Scott was a general across the ground also, with Lucas Maffei, Drew, Wright and Tim Webster also in the best.
For Catani, it was a day they’ll hope to forget quickly, however Will Geyer, Travis Browman, Mark Battiscombe, Aidy Fry and Josh Broman toiled all afternoon for their side in what was a tough day at the office.
Lang Lang vs Longwarry
Longwarry has come away with a comfortable victory over Lang Lang away from home, 8.19 (67) to 3.4 (22).
The Crows will rue some inaccuracy on the board, with 19 behinds next to their name, but were never behind in the victory, despite kicking 4.13 after the main break.
Using a third quarter spurt, albeit an inaccurate one with a return of 3.8, it was enough to bridge the gap and make sure of the result. Casey Wells and Leigh McDonald both kicked two for the Crows, with Dylan Hatfield, Ryan Wouters, Jay Breen, Brody Hamilton, Brett McCleary and McDonald rounding out the best.
For the Tigers, Bryce Fraser, Steve Cerra and Jack Sullivan all found plenty of the footy, with support from Brett Kelly and Rhys Simons. Kelly, Sullivan and Jackson Pawsey were the goal kickers for Lang Lang in the loss.
Trafalgar vs Nyora

Malady and O’Neill led the best players also in terrific performances, well supported by the likes of Austin Byrne, Keegan Tullett and Rhain Ross.

The Cats weren’t challenged by the home side and moved the ball well from the back half to see some clean footy go inside 50.
Cumming also claimed best on ground honours in the victory as Lachlan Smith, Benjamin Lockett, Ryza Chynoweth, Christian RobertsonEdgar and Timothy Fraser were also big factors in the victory.
Matthew Cheyne and Corey Wright both kicked a goal each for Nilma-Darnum, with Cheyne, Corey Wright, Robert Campbell, Philip McClimont, Jordyn Hanssen-De Kort the better players for the Nilma side who will look to bounce back next week, still chasing a victory. Poowong v Yarragon

The Magpies held the Panthers goalless after halftime in the big victory, proving despite the injuries they have faced, they’re still up to their winning ways.
Chris McInness was unstoppable up forward, booting five majors while Troy Shepherdson and Reece Attenborough slammed home three goals each and Kade Anderson and Andrew McInness both slotted two.
Reece Attenborough, Jackson Glindemann, Kristopher Albert Kerr, Kade Anderson, Jacksen Barlow and Jake McIntosh were the main ball magnets and found themselves in the best in the win.
