Youth charged for robbery

A teenager has been arrested and charged in relation to a robbery at Intersport, Warragul on April 28.

The 16-year-old Pakenham youth was charged last week after Baw Baw CIU detectives executed a warrant at a Pakenham property and seized a number of stolen goods.

Detectives also seized a quantity of drugs and a weapon.

The morning robbery allegedly involved other offenders who stormed into the store before offenders grabbed sports gear from around the store.

The offenders fled the store and got into a car parked near the skate park in Burke St, driven by another man.

Detectives are continuing investigations into the robbery.

The youth was charged and bailed to appear at Children’s Court at a later date.
