Plans for 88 lot subdivision

-

Drouin’s ballooning residential development shows no signs of abating with an application to Baw Baw Shire council for approval of an 88-lot subdivision on the town’s east.

The development would join the established Calway Estate accessed from Princes Way with Buln Buln Rd through an extension of Calway St.

The application lodged on behalf of Drouin Property Investments covers an 8.2 hectare grazing property that is not currently included in Drouin’s Precinct Structure plan but is within one kilometre of the town centre.

Seventy-one of the planned lots would range in size between 300 and 549 square metres.

A further 13 would be between 550 and 799 square metres with four larger lots up to 1100 square metres.

A drainage reserve through the estate would occupy 1.45 hectares and a 1760 square metre “pocket park” would be established at the south of the Calway St connection to the development.

A plan of the lay-out submitted as part of the application proposes the estate be developed in seven stages.
