Farmlands set for residential blocks

-

Several current farm properties on the western side of the current town are set to provide the next major residential growth area at Trafalgar.

Applications to provide a total of 665 residential blocks of varying sizes on the properties fronting Princes Highway are currently before Baw Baw Shire council for planning approval.

Planning Central of Oakleigh, that has submitted the proposals on behalf of respective owners The Range (Trafalgar) Pty Ltd and Trafalgar Property Developments Pty Ltd, said the plans had been prepared in a co-ordinated and co-operative manner by both owners.

This is highlighted by construction of roads and establishment of drainage reserves that traverse both subdivisions.

Each would also include areas set aside for recreational use.

The western extremity of the developments would be Sunny Creek Rd.

Roundabouts will be required at an extension of School Rd through both estates and its connection to Sunny Creek Rd and at the School Rd-Dodemaides Rd junction.

The developments would be undertaken in a number of stages.

In recent years the bulk of new residential subdivisions at Trafalgar has been on the town’s eastern fringe.
