Sue Blenkhorn reported that “Sean’s Two for Ten” walk raised $9745 from the district for Cord Blood Research. It was a terrific effort by all the clubs involved.
Warragul Club member Lynne Davine was congratulated on accepting the appointment to Inner Wheel Australia vice president for 2O21- 2O22.
Elizabeth Tooke spoke about her journey in becoming the IWA president. She was born in Penrith, NSW, educated at MLC Burwood, married Ian and moved to Blayney, where Ian took up his first teaching position.
Elizabeth became involved with Ian’s Rotary Club accompanying him on his District Governor visits. In 2OO9 she joined Inner Wheel and has taken up many different leadership roles in her club and district.
Elizabeth encouraged members to take up the challenge and “Lead the Change.” Inner Wheel has been a passion of hers and she has dedicated herself to serving the organisation. May is dedicated to raising much-needed funds for the research into multiple sclerosis. Inner Wheel women and their friends are challenging themselves to walk a little bit further every day.
