Helen at Red Tree

-

An artistic celebration of national parks and protected places can be viewed at Red Tree Gallery in Jindivick this month.

Local artist Helen Timbury returns to the gallery with her wonderful linocut artworks for new exhibition “Bird Life”.

As the title suggests, birds are often depicted in these works.

Helen believes our many connections with landscape contribute to wellbeing. These landscapes – inland, alpine and coastal, and the flora and birdlife particular to them - hold a special significance for her as an artist.

Through her work, Helen seeks to raise an awareness in others, pointing out the fragility, beauty and diversity of the environment.

“Bird Life” is now open at Red Tree Gallery until Wednesday, May 26.

The gallery, including Laurie Collins’ sculpture garden, at 420 Main Jindivick Road is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
