West Gippsland Community Radio Inc. - 103.1 3BBR FM

-

West Gippsland Community Radio (3bbr-fm) is your community broadcaster and is based in Drouin. Our programs provide a variety of music, national and local news, community information, interviews and the opportunity for people to learn radio production and public speaking skills in a supportive environment. 2020 was a year like no other that every family and every community had previously experienced. But, despite COVID 19 and all that last year threw at us, we are still here, still on air, still your radio, still your voice. Your community broadcaster, 3bbr 103.1 fm, has come through stronger, more capable and more determined.

Whilst 3bbr-fm ran for many months with no one in attendance at the studio, we developed significant offsite processes which have enabled our presenters to prepare their programs from their homes. Pleasingly, the world of “live radio” is returning with an increasing number of presenters now attending our studio to deliver their programs.

At present, we are looking for presenters with a general music knowledge of the 60s to 80s. If you haven't any radio or broadcasting experience, no matter, we will train you.

Would you like to become a volunteer at 3bbrfm? If you are interested in joining our team of dedicated volunteers in any aspect of broadcasting, or simply wish to become a non-presenting member, please call 5625 1103. Better still, email info@3bbrfm.org.au

In the meantime, if you would like to have a

chat with some of our friendly members, come down to our sausage sizzle at Bunnings in Warragul on Saturday 19 June.

?? ?? Some of the volunteers at your local community radio station, West Gippsland Community Radio are from left: Graeme Marriott (Presenter / Treasurer) and David Piggin (Board Member). Not all have an ‘on-air’ program. Some do present, others help, advise and create. Contact with sponsors is hugely important as well as community group involvement.
