Neerim South v Poowong Neerim South’s thirds side have stamped their authority on the league with a big 16.10 (106) to 4.8 (32) win over Poowong.

Aiden Keary booted a game high seven goals in a brilliant display and had great support from Luke Kinder (four goals) Mathew Roberts (two goals) and Harry Notman (two goals) in the victory.

Notman, Keary and Kinder all featured in the best for the Cats, while for Poowong it was Alex Henshall who was the biggest contributo­r, booting three of the team's four goals.

Henshall, Reide Macqueen, Zac Gray, Xavier Spaull, Noah Peacock and Mitchell Rowe all found themselves in the best for Poowong.

Longwarry v Ellinbank Longwarry have held off Ellinbank in an enthrallin­g encounter at the Crows nest, 6.4 (40) to 4.10 (34)

Lachy Spinks booted two goals for the Crows coming off his senior debut last week, while Liam Macdonald, Liam Quarrell, Daniel Pullen, Oakley Walsh, Wesley Hunt and Liam Kirkman all played terrific games for the winning side.

Ellinbank will rue a few missed opportunit­ies in the final term, with all four goals coming from individual kickers.

Ryan Atherton, Lewis Kennedy, Dallon JeffreyMol­an, Jack Cole, Gaige White and Will Scammell were the best for the Eagles in the loss.

Trafalgar vs Buln Buln

Buln Buln got over the line against Trafalgar 8.6 (54) to 7.3 (45).

Damian Handley was the dominant player for the Lyrebirds, kicking five of the sides eight goals, with Brendon Wall the other multiple goal kicker with two. Matthew Devon was able to find the middle of the big sticks twice for Trafalgar.

Buln’s best for the morning was Lachlan Axford, Brendan Wall, Damian Handley, Patrick Smythe and Max Chesterfie­ld.

Trafalgar were gallant in defeat, with Mathew Devon, Drew O’Brien, Jacob Matthews, James De Graaf and Denis Dyke the best players.
