Family fun planned

Two local charities have combined to stage a Family Festival of Fun at Lardner Park on Australia Day.

Olivia’s Place and Gippsland Rhythm and Wings will host the event that will raise money to support families across Gippsland.

The event will be held next Wednesday, January 26 between 10am and 4pm.

The Family Festival of Fun will feature market stalls and food trucks, live music and plenty of activities for the whole family.

Animals of Oz will be on show throughout the day with lizards, pythons, frogs, crocodiles, birds, marsupials, invertebra­tes and mammals.

Aussie Sports Activation­s will feature sports inflatable­s including a footy obstacle course, footy velcro darts and footy shootout.

There also will be pony rides with Blossom’s Pony Parties.

Other activities include lawn games, jumping castles, face painting, mini golf, Guru Dudu Silent Disco Tours, Kebab the Clown, Poppy Troll and the Minion and games and activities like a thong toss and potato sack races.

Olivia’s Place is a not-forprofit charity that supports a large number of Gippsland families each financial year, rehoming nursery, maternity and infant related items, as well as providing mentoring and education to help make their parenting journey easier.

Gippsland Rhythm and Wings is a not-for-profit charity helping Gippsland families who have a child affected by heart disease or who have lost a child to heart disease.
