SEN PARTNERS WITH THE EDFNL IN 2022

-

Sports Entertainment Network has announced its new partnership with the Ellinbank & District Football and Netball League for 2022.

The deal includes a commitment from the network to broadcast one football game per round on their local station SEN Latrobe Valley 91.9FM which will begin on round 1 of the 2022 season which kicks off on April 2nd.

EDFNL fans will be able to listen to the match of the round live from the ground from 2pm to 5pm with pre, post, and live commentary of the games.

Listeners will also be able to hear a local Gippsland Footy Show which will be broadcast on site 11am to 12pm on Saturdays. The local program will include a dedicated local netball segment within the show.

Football operations manager at the EDFNL Ken Moore said he’s excited for the Ellinbank and Latrobe Valley community to be able to listen to the sport that is so ingrained in their community live on radio, and commended SEN’s commitment to serving their local communities.

“It’s terrific for SEN to branch out and serve the community. The value of local sport cannot be underestimated. It is the lifeblood for the higher leagues up to the AFL. For many clubs in a district league, the footy and netball clubs are the hub of the town.”

Moore also stated he’s confident the partnership between SEN and EDFNL will generate growth for both parties.

“We’re confident our partnership will increase interest in our league and generate growth, especially amongst our junior numbers. Similarly, it will be an opportunity for SEN 91.9 to broaden its reach in and around Warragul and West & South Gippsland and engage with the community.”

“We can see no reason why this relationship between SEN and the EDFNL will not be strong for many years to come.”

Mitchell Smith, Commercial Manager for Gippsland at SEN, echoed the sentiments of the EDFNL saying he believes the deal will drive interest in both the EDFNL and SEN Latrobe Valley.

“It is super exciting to partner with the Ellinbank and District Football Netball League for season 2022, the Warragul and Latrobe Valley area is growing rapidly and with this partnership, we hope we can grow the league at the same rate and continue to develop the interest in the district competition”

The EDFNL match of the round broadcast and local footy show will begin on Saturday April 2nd.
