Vital win for Drouin

Drouin had a solid win over higher placed Newborough in division one bowls on Saturday.

Third placed Drouin won only two rinks over second placed Newborough but still secured the 14-shot overall win.

Division one: Drouin 14/95 defeated Newborough 4/81

Bruce Andrews, Col Finger, John Leighton and Mark Atkinson (skip) lost to Kevin Lovett's team 19/23. Denise Hamilton, Arthur Moore, Dale Hendrick and Toby Wallace (skip) lost to Alan Grubb's team 24/27. Graeme Aubrey, Maureen Leighton, Les Firth and Sheryl Anderson (skip) defeated Nosha Michaels' team 21/18. Steve Barr, Jan Aubrey, Mick Fleming and Samantha Atkinson (skip) defeated Tommy Lodge's team 31/13.
