Focus on women in ag

-

Local woman Corinne Armour will lead an inspiring line-up at next week’s Women in Ag luncheon.

The annual luncheon, now a signature event on the Farm World calendar, provides the perfect platform to not only hear from inspirational speakers, but to network and liaise with a room full of energetic, talented women.

This year’s luncheon will feature speakers who will engage, inspire and motivate guests with their personal and professional journeys. Their stories are from the heart and will challenge the audience to think outside the box, believe in their abilities and provide some real life, day to day experiences – both the trials and celebrations.

The three speakers include local Corinne Armour, Claire Moore and Caitlin Radford.

Corrinne is a speaker, trainer, coach, facilitator. She works with senior leaders and teams from a diverse range of industries, such as finance, government, construction, health, education, arts and aged care.

Corrinne has positive energy, is a direct communicator and her real world experience will enthrall her audience as she tells her story of balancing work, family and farm life.

Claire is founder and chief executive officer of Sweet Justice, teaching commercial beekeeping within Victoria’s justice system and then leading participants into supported employment in commercial beekeeping.

Claire is a passionate advocate for the beekeeping industry and honeybee health and is one of the state’s leading queen breeders.

Her work in the beekeeping industry earned her the 2019 Agrifutures Victorian Rural Woman of the Year award and the 2021 Rotary Environmental Sustainability Award.

Caitlin was awarded the 2020 Australian apprentice of the year. She is undertaking a diploma of agribusiness and is an ambassador for VET training and women.

Caitlin’s other pursuits include being the vice chair of Agfest Field Days.

She now runs her own agricultural company in Tasmania after working on the family farm with the support of her parents and grandfather. Caitlin is a proud representative of women and young people in agriculture.

The Women in Ag luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 24 from 11.45am to 2.30pm in the Lardner Park events centre.

Tickets are $65 which includes entry to Farm World, lunch and a drink on arrival. Tables of eight are available for $500.
