Kitchenali­a show

Enjoy a kitchenali­a, apron and tea cosy show at Algie Hall in Neerim South on Saturday.

Entry is just $2 with all proceeds donated to Tarago Views Aged Care in Neerim South.

The show will feature displays of antique, vintage and retro kitchen items and displays of retro, vintage and modern aprons and tea cosies.

There will also be sales of aprons, tea cosies, recipe books and kitchen items.

Stalls selling items, raffles every hour, Devonshire teas and a sausage sizzle will also greet visitors between 10am and 4pm.

Janaé Kerr brings fairytale character Ariel to life in the Victorian State Ballet production “The Little Mermaid”.

This full-length classical ballet production will be performed at the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Sunday at 2.30pm.

Choreograp­hed by Michelle Cassar de Sierra, it is a stunning display of classical ballet with elements of physical theatre to bring to life an underwater world and its myriad of sea folk and lively characters.

“It had to be pulled five days before the event (due to COVID restrictio­ns),” Ms Price said. “We’ve been waiting, waiting, waiting, so finally we’ve decided to just go ahead.”

Ms Price said many items would be on display including a couple of items dating all the way back to the 1880s.

The event is being presented by the Neerim District Community House Craft Group with support from local community groups including the hospital ladies guild, CWA ,Community House, Men’s Shed and Lions Club.
