Discover the St Joseph’s difference at Trafalgar

-

St Joseph’s is a small semi-rural Catholic primary school with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Students come from the surrounding areas of Trafalgar, Willow Grove, Yarragon and Thorpdale.

Every child is unique. Every child has potential. These two beliefs underpin all that we do at St Joseph’s Primary school in Trafalgar.

The school offers a comprehensive and innovative curriculum which is aimed at bringing out the best in every learner.

The children receive strong Literacy and Numeracy teaching.

We recognise that children have different gifts and talents and have varied learning styles and we endeavour to cater for the individual needs of each child.

Pastoral care is outstanding with every child given the opportunity to grow and develop.

Christian values such as self-discipline, respect for one another, responsibility and tolerance are actively taught and promoted so that each learner progressively moves to independent self-management.

Whilst we are a Catholic school, many non-Catholic families choose to send their children to St Joseph’s, seeking the excellent care and education provided by the school.

The school has a wonderful community spirit that fosters a strong sense of belonging.

Dedicated and committed teachers work to build meaningful relationships with all the students.

Parents are encouraged to be active participants in the life of the school and there are many opportunities for parents to be involved.

The school has spacious grounds, catering for football, soccer, netball and basketball as well as two large adventure playgrounds.

In recent years the classrooms have been refurbished to provide comfortable and purposeful learning spaces.

We warmly invite you to our school to see for yourself.
