Traf stole victory from Lang Lang

SCORING the only goal of the final quarter saw Trafalgar steal victory over Lang Lang in the under 16s.

The Tigers had their chances to build their lead before not scoring in the final term to go down 6-4 (40) to 4-9 (33).

YARRAGON won every quarter on the way to a strong victory over Ellinbank, 14-3 (87) to 4-2 (26).

Ellinbank booted three goals in the final term, but the Panthers were able to add another six, led by Liam Smith-Butterworth who finished with seven goals.

FIFTEEN goals in the first half helped Longwarry to a big win over Buln Buln, 20-15 (135) to 2-5 (17).

Harrison Mills led the scoring with five goals, before the undermanned Lyrebirds put in a competitive second half.

A LUCKLESS Poowong couldn't find the goals as Neerim-Neerim South scored consistently to set up a comfortable win.

The Magpies put through 10 behinds to go down to the Cats, who scored 13-13 (91).

LONGWARRY controlled most of its under 18s match against Buln Buln to win 14-7 (91) to 8-6 (54).

The Lyrebirds booted five goals to two in the third term to storm back into contention, before the Crows kicked away again in the final term.

Small forward Tyler van der Heyden finished with five goals for the Crows.

ADAM Campbell and Jack Champion booted 11 goals between them to set up Ellinbank's comfortable win over Yarragon, 21-14 (140) to 2-2 (14).

ANOTHER big bag from Matthew Roberts saw Neerim-Neerim South to victory over Lang Lang, 20-11 (131) to 3-2 (20).

Roberts finished with 10 goals to contribute half of the Cats' score.
