All aboard the farmer bus

The 2022 Gippsland Farmer’s bus trip will be held in June and tickets are now on sale.

This year the bus tour will cover northern Victoria and southern NSW and will cover a broad range of industries, with the hope that everyone will learn something new.

The itinerary includes:

370 cow dairy that focuses on innovative technology including synchronis­ed breeding and robotics

Fodder varieties that fill winter feed gaps Cropping both winter and summer crops both dry land and irrigation, including relay cropping

Regenerati­ve beef farming with Holistic Management and Natural Sequence Farming

Merino wool production including manufactur­ing and marketing of woollen outerwear for corporate wear

Animal efficiency to reduce tcarbon footprint Androssan Angus seed stock breeding program, including feedlots, genomics and DNA testing

Prime lamb production of maternal and terminal seedstock, with a focus on hybrid for performanc­e not purity

White faced polled Herefords for bull production­s as well as 2000 head for grass feed steers and heifers for live export
