The current chair of Walhalla Board of Management David Balfour is stepping down from the board after 20 years.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning is seeking nominations for the volunteers to nominate for the board's next three-year term.

Expressions of interest close next Friday evening, June 24.

Mr Balfour said he believed other members currently on the board were re-nominating.

Skills, experience and knowledge in one or more areas of business planning, marketing and tourism, financial management, administration and community and stakeholder engagement are sought.

Applications can be made at www.boards.vic. gpov.au under "board vacancies" and searching for Walhalla Board of Management.
