NYORA made a remarkable turnaround to pinch a four-point victory over Nilma-Darnum in the Reserves, withholding a late charge from the Bombers to win 8-7 (55) to 8-3 (51).

Coming off a big loss at home the previous week, the Saints weren't deterred as they turned their fortunes around on the road.

The Saints held a seven-point lead early and while the Bombers closed the margin to just two points at the half, the visitor was able to steady and re-establish an eight-point buffer at the final change.

Adding the likes of Aiden Cumberland and Tyson Fievez, who have played at senior level for the club, helped the Saints' cause as they held on despite the Bombers winning the final quarter with three goals to two.

Shaun Lamb continued his good form with Lincoln Brock, Trent Breen, Dylan Harkin and Darren Jameson also among the better players for Nyora.

Robert Campbell, Benjamin Miron, Ryan Wyley, Garry Hallam and Corey Wright led the charge as the Bombers threatened to steal the result.

TRAFALGAR overcame a slow start to overcome a determined Buln Buln side with the contest well and truly in the balance into the last quarter.

A goal at the mid-point of the final term extended the margin to 16 points and it would prove the sealer as the Bloods won 9-8 (62) to 7-4 (46).

The Lyrebirds burst out of the blocks at home, kicking out to a 12-point advantage at the first change.

The Bloods worked their way to a slight fourpoint advantage at the final change as the contest turned into a real arm wrestle.

Buln Buln were best served by Jarrod Castle, Josh Bloink, Brent Waddell, Mitchell Park,

Ricky McKerrow and Brendan Wall as they kept in touch.

It opened up for the Bloods in the final term, booting three goals to one.

Helping the visitor push to victory were Benjamin Doran, Ash James, Blake Zimora, Tom Tuck, Brett Cameron and Jacob Matthews.

NEERIM-NEERIM SOUTH kept Lang Lang in the contest early by virtue of inaccuracy before kicking away in the second half for a comfortable victory, 10-12 (72) to 4-3 (27).

A return of 1-6 in the first term saw the Tigers just seven points adrift at the half before the Cats kicked away with seven goals to one after the break.

Adam White, Matthew Pecoraro, Matthew Kelliher, Timothy Beaurain, Fletcher and Christian Robertson-Edgar led the charge home for the Cats.

Leading a competitive first half for the Tigers were Mark Penn, Ryan Floate, Cameron Mclean, Chris Potrich and Brandon Dalli.

LADDER leader Ellinbank again filled their boots against a struggling opponent, defeating Catani 35-20 (230) to 0-1 (1).

Ten goals to nil in the first term set the Eagles on their way, comfortably breaking the 100 point barrier in the second term.

Fourteen goal scorers saw it shared for Ellinbank, Kristian Bingham, Tim Leicester, Jack Cole and Darren Blaney among the best in a strong team effort.

The Blues were best served by Shaun Donnelly, Thomas Howell, Jason Adair, Edward Gebar, Darryn Jenkins and Sein Fry.
