Church anniversary

The annual services in connection with the anniversary of the Warragul Methodist Church were held last Sunday when the Rev. Brian Wibberly, Mus. Bac. of Armadale, was the preacher. The discourses were of a high order, being enjoyed by all. The choir rendered appropriate music Miss Irene Wonnacott, of Brighton being the soloist.

On the Monday evening Mr Wibberly delivered a lecture on the “The Real Dinah Morris” tracing the history in real life of one of the principal characters in George Elliot’s “Adam Bede.” The choir again was responsible for the music assisted by Miss Wonnacott as soloist. Merrs AJ Dungey and RW Mills moved and seconded a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Wibblerly who responded.
