Bricks and Bouquets
A big bouquet to the woman and her daughter who assisted the elderly gentleman in the Warragul Woolworths carpark and ensured that he got to his appointment and was taken care of. A big thank you.
Bouquets to all those at the Ellinbank Football and Netball Club who made last Saturday night’s celebration of past premierships such a great success.
Bricks to Baw Baw Shire for only allowing affected residents five days (including a weekend) to respond to a planning permit application, substantially altered from the previous approval, that will have serious impacts on the privacy and quiet enjoyment of our homes and our neighbourhood. Letters dated May 1 were only received by adjoining residents on May 10, noting the application will not be decided before May 16. What is your hurry?
Bricks to Baw Baw Shire for not attending a public information last week to discuss a proposed residential social housing project on land zoned commercial 1 in Mason St, Warragul. It would have been good to have a shire representative attend.
Bricks to those responsible for all the rubbish left out in the bush at Sweetwater Creek Nature Reserve on Beards Trk
Bouquets and thanks to the business at Link Shopping Centre Warragul for finding an alternative place to store their shipping pallets. Great to see them gone from where the five rubbish skips are.
Bouquets to Tracey at Furniture Plus Homemakers store in Warragul for offering fantastic customer service and exceptional communication. When we couldn’t find what we wanted, Tracey worked with us to have a lounge suite custom made. Made shopping locally a great experience, would highly recommend.
A B-double trailer full of soft foam-rubber bricks (as at least they’re nice and quiet) to the ignorant heavy vehicle drivers who blatantly ignore the ‘trucks avoid using engine brakes’ during all hours of the day and night when entering the various towns in and around the Baw Baw Shire
