Blues ressies rout Bombers

CATANI moved a game clear inside the reserves top five in another round that saw big scores and margins.

The Blues kicked four goals to nil and controlled the contest over Nilma-Darnum from the outset, scoring consistent­ly on the way to winning 16-12 (108) to 3-3 (21).

Josh Miller booted five goals in a best afield effort, ably assisted by Adam Jacobs who finished with four majors. Ryan Orridge, Nicholas Cullen, Jack Hobson and Jason Adair were also among the best for the Blues.

Jamie Terlich, Christophe­r Cameron, Josh Price, Jye Hayden, Ethan Carlile and Oakley Addison were the better players for the Bombers.

LANG LANG comfortabl­y accounted for Nyora, 16-6 (102) to 4-1 (25).

The Tigers kicked out to a 53-point half time lead and were never headed, although the Saints put in a competitiv­e second half with three goals to seven.

Several players that have featured at senior level helped the Bloods' cause, led by Keegan Tullett, Angus Templeton, Connor Dastey, Cooper Minichiell­o (four goals), Blake Zimora (five majors) and Zach Gopalan.

Captain Brett Cameron and Luke O'Neill also finished with bags of five and four goals respective­ly.

Poowong was most competitiv­e in the third term, booting two goals, but also conceding four to the Bloods.

Better players for the Magpies were Jake Peacock, Gavin Broad, Daniel Whelan, Caspian Jackman-Riches, Jake Lewis and Bryce Townsend.
