All genetics clear stud’s online sale

Warwick Daily News - South West Queensland Rural Weekly - - End Of An Era -

IT’S the sale that marked the end of an era.

Eight thousand brahman semen straws went up for auction clearing the Tartrus brahman genetics owned by Sir Graham McCamley.

“There was a lot of interest Australia wide,” Sir Graham said.

“There were single straws and packages of up to 100 straws to cater for the larger and smaller properties.

“We had the straws in three sub categories which were grey’s, JD Hudgins bloodline and reds which included American imports.”

All proceeds of the auction went to the Lady McCamley Memorial Foundation, with Lifeline a major benefactor.

Sir Graham said it was a small way for him to give back to the rural community which he has been part of.

“In the last 10-15 years Lifeline has really embraced the rural community so I felt it was a very worthy recipient,” he said.

He said the sale was a complete clearance.
