Scrubbing up at YBPF
THE annual Young Beef Producers Forum was held in Roma last week.
There were 265 young people between the ages of 18 and 40 who attended the forum, which included a property tour of Glen Arden, a variety of speakers from a range of roles in the livestock industry, and a cocktail dinner and auction.
Everyone swapped their hats and jeans for dresses, jackets and ties on Thursday night to enjoy a steak dinner followed by an exciting auction for a good cause.
Some of the country’s best auctioneers sold off donated items from semen straws to TradeMutt shirts.
The forum from November 15-16 was also a chance to network – some of it done on the dance floor.
