DUCK, dip, dive and dodge may sound simple but the Warwick State High Clontarf Academy set a challenge for the Warwick Police and dodgeball was the game of choice. On what was one of the hottest days in November, police and students took to the court at WIRAC. Police contenders who “knew nothing about the game other than dodgeball” did not take long to realise a little homework would have gone a long way. The best-of-three tournament was won by the students, who proved agility was key to success. The match was the last of many played between Warwick Police and the Warwick State High Clontarf Academy, but talks of what will be contested in 2019 have begun.
