NEW STORE OPENING: CHONGQING

Marking a growing trend in Chinese retail, the Florentia Village outlet opened its seventh edition in the suburban city of Chongqing this February. Traditionally, many brands chose to avoid opening retail units in “smaller” Chinese cities due to their lower economic income and consumption levels compared to cities like Beijing or Shanghai. Yet, outlet malls are a hit in China’s emerging hubs, attracting a broader consumer base thanks to attractive price tags and the potential to discover new brands.
