Koala works magic on Mars

SINGER Bruno Mars got up close and personal with Judah, a koala from West Oz Wildlife, before his concert in Perth last week.

West Oz Wildlife is based in Karnup and keeper Beth Mullany took Judah backstage to visit Mars before the concert began.

Mars shared the video of him sweet-talking a cuddly Judah on his Instagram account.

The post has since garnered almost three million views.

In the post, Mars said “thank you Australia for everything”.

Mars enjoyed sell-out concerts while in Perth for his 24Magic World Tour.

Miss Mullany said she hoped the publicity from Mars’s Instagram posts would boost awareness about koalas.

“We just hope more and more people fall in love with these amazing animals, understand them more, learn about them and want to conserve them in the wild,” she said.

“In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”

That’s what I like... singer Bruno Mars with Judah the koala and West Oz Wildlife keeper Beth Mullany before his concert last week.
